Srinagar, Feb 3: A man has filed a complaint with police alleging assault, coercion, and humiliation by security personnel at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar, seeking a formal inquiry and action against those involved.

According to the complaint lodged at Police Station Karan Nagar, the incident occurred late at night in the hospital corridor during a rush of patients. The complainant alleged that he was questioned over recording a video, forcibly restrained, and taken to a room where multiple security personnel allegedly assaulted him.
He claimed his cap was removed, mobile phone seized and checked without consent, and he was pushed onto a bed and beaten. He also alleged he was forced to sign documents and apologize despite asserting his innocence. His mother, a patient at the hospital, reportedly intervened but was ignored, causing her severe distress.
The complainant said medical reports show injuries to his arm and requested review of CCTV footage, verification of call records, and an impartial investigation into the conduct of the security staff.
