Mantripukhri, Dec 21: In a grand ceremony at Mantripukhri, Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps honoured the outstanding contributions of Manipur to the Indian Armed Forces by felicitating 14 young achievers from the state. The event highlighted the region’s growing legacy of producing disciplined and talented officers for the nation’s defence services.

Among the honourees were seven newly commissioned officers who have successfully entered elite service arms, marking the beginning of their journey in India’s prestigious military institutions. The remaining seven cadets were recognised for their selection into premier training establishments, signifying their potential to become future leaders of the armed forces.
The ceremony was attended by senior Assam Rifles officials, local dignitaries, and families of the achievers. Spear Corps commanders lauded the dedication, perseverance, and excellence of the youth, noting that Manipur has historically contributed significantly to the armed forces despite its challenging terrain and socio-economic constraints.
Addressing the gathering, officials emphasised the importance of discipline, resilience, and service to the nation. They encouraged the cadets and young officers to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism as they embark on their military careers.
