It is widely acknowledged that a man’s identity lies in his good manners. Without these, he is worse than a beast. It is also believed that exhibiting good manners in all walks of life help a person to develop fully in his life. Hence, it is mostly seen that well- mannered people solve complex issues of life ease and also instruct others to become or stay mannered in life though it is so hard to be on this track continuously. However, its consequences always bear fruits. Those who truly put themselves on the path of good manners, achieve a lot in the long run. It also lifts a person spiritually. These help him to make his soul pure and protect him from every kind of filth. Manners are as important as worship, fasting, giving alms , et cetera. In short, without these attributes, one’s identity in society is of no value.

It is pertinent to mention here that today’s age is the age of science and technology. There is omnipresence of technology everywhere. It has significantly changed everyone’s life. With new inventions, the whole pattern of life has completely changed. The modern life means swiftness. A person’s behaviour, thinking, character, eating style and attitudes has gone through a visible change. In this age, manners are thrown to winds. Moreover, today’s life is so competitive that manners have taken the backseat. The erosion of manners is generally visible among the educated. They have become so immoral that they are always ready to fight and abuse each other. They use filthy language when they talk to each other. Respecting elders is not in their dictionaries. They are almost in the glare of modernity. On the other hand, who have never been to schools and colleges, are not to blame. They have no resources to make themselves intellectually fertile. They are bound by superstitions and illogical customs.
So, to make our society a civilized one, we must revert back to manners. To leave a long-lasting impact on others, we must be morally uplifted. The nations that are moral conscious can never fail. Their moral values guide them in every sphere of life. So, the need of the hour is to be morally uplifted.
