Mechukha school students embark on NIT

Mechukha,, Jan 5: A group of students and teachers from Government Higher Secondary School, Mechukha, have commenced a National Integration Tour spanning Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Itanagar from January 5 to 16, 2026.

The tour aims to provide students with firsthand exposure to India’s rich heritage, diverse cultures, and the functioning of premier national institutions. During their journey, the young participants will visit historic landmarks, government establishments, and learn about the ethos and discipline of the Indian Defence Forces.
Teachers accompanying the students emphasized that the tour is designed to broaden the horizons of the students, instill a sense of national unity, and foster appreciation for the country’s cultural and institutional diversity. “This initiative will help students understand the values of teamwork, responsibility, and patriotism while interacting with peers and experts across the country,” said a faculty member.
The students expressed excitement about visiting iconic locations in Delhi, experiencing urban life in Pune and Mumbai, and understanding the local traditions and governance in their home state capital, Itanagar. Officials from the school and the district administration extended best wishes for a safe, educational, and memorable journey.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to nurture informed, culturally aware, and socially responsible youth in Arunachal Pradesh through experiential learning and immersive travel programs.
