A mega SUV and Bike Rally was flagged off from Srinagar today as part of 75th Tithwal Day celebrations. Rally comprising 10 SUVs and 75 Enfield Bullet Bikes was flagged off from BB Cantonment by Maj Gen Anupam Bhagi, SM Chief of Staff Chinar Corps. The Rally traversed a distance of 170 kilometres in two days, stopping at Trehgam for the night. The Rally was organized by Shakti Vijay Brigade of Indian Army and adventure groups namely ‘Flying Falcons’ and ‘Valley Wanderers’ participated in it.
On 22 May, Rally started from Trehgam to Tithwal, a famous village located along the Line of Control wherein it was flagged in by Brigadier SP Consul Commander Shakti Vijay Brigade and received by the locals. Thereafter, participants were felicitated by Brigadier Consul .
The aim of Rally was two folds i.e., to celebrate 75th Tithwal Day and promote adventure tourism in Tangdhar Valley of Karnah. Multiple SUV and Bike rallies have been conducted here in past year leading to huge influx of local tourists into the Valley
