Min Itoo urges educational reforms during visit to girls GGHS Drugjan

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo today conducted the surprise inspection of Government Girls High School (GGHS) Drugjan Dalgate and took on-spot assessment of functioning of the school.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N Itoo; CEO Srinagar, ZEO Nishat and other officers also accompanied the Minister.
During the visit, Minister Sakeena took detailed round of the school premises, inspected classrooms, computer lab and other infrastructure. She also interacted with the students and took feedback from them about the quality of education being imparted at the institute. She also encouraged students to remain focused on their studies and urged the school authorities to identify and address any gaps in academic performance and infrastructure.
Later, the Minister held a brief interaction with the staff of the school and assessed the overall functioning of the institution, including teaching methodologies, infrastructure, attendance records and availability of essential resources.
Expressing concern over certain shortcomings, Minister Sakeena emphasized on the need for more robust monitoring mechanism to ensure timely academic delivery and conducive learning environment in the institute.
“Education is the cornerstone of a progressive society. We must ensure our girls receive quality education, adequate support and modern facilities to thrive in every sphere and field of life”, Minister Sakeena stated.
She lauded the dedication of the teaching staff and called for renewed efforts to uplift educational outcomes, particularly in government-run educational institutions.
