A detailed presentation was delivered by officials of the Rural Sanitation Directorate, outlining a comprehensive strategy for managing waste during the Yatra. Key focus areas included segregation at source, composting, plastic minimization, scientific disposal methods, and integration of technology for real-time monitoring and supervision.

Highlighting the importance of public engagement, Minister Dar flagged off a “Swachhta Rally” under the theme “Swachh Yatra, Surakshit Yatra”, which saw active participation from sanitation workers, volunteers, and department officials. The rally aimed to raise awareness about hygiene and collective responsibility along the pilgrimage route.
Interacting with sanitation workers, the Minister lauded their tireless service despite the challenging terrain and conditions. He also felicitated Langarwalas and sanitation staff for their vital role in maintaining cleanliness during the Yatra.
