
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, and Information Technology, Satish Sharma, conducted a comprehensive tour of the Chhamb constituency on Friday to assess ongoing development works and address public concerns related to essential services and infrastructure.
During the visit, the Minister inspected various key projects under execution and issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officials for expediting completion while maintaining quality standards.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by residents during peak summer, Sharma emphasized strengthening water supply across the constituency. He instructed the Jal Shakti Department to ensure equitable water distribution in rural and urban areas, increase tanker supplies in stressed zones, and undertake urgent repairs of pumps and pipelines.
On the power front, amid soaring temperatures and increased demand, Sharma directed the Power Development Department (PDD) to upgrade overloaded feeders, deploy rapid response teams for breakdowns, and ensure scheduled maintenance for uninterrupted electricity supply.
Reviewing health preparedness for the monsoon season, the Minister called for proactive disease prevention measures, intensified fogging, sanitation drives, and awareness campaigns. He urged the Health Department to stock essential medicines and coordinate closely with municipal authorities.
Sharma also met residents from multiple localities during his visit, listening to their concerns regarding civic amenities. He assured them of timely redressal and reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive and accelerated development.
“Our administration is fully committed towards addressing the core needs of our people in a time-bound manner,” he stated.
