
Pangsau Pass, Jan 18: In a vibrant prelude to the Pangsau Pass International Festival (PPIF) 2026, Assam Rifles successfully organized the Talent Round of the Miss Pangsau Pass International Festival (Miss PPIF) at the Festival Ground, Pangsau Pass. The event highlighted youth, culture, and women empowerment from India’s remote frontier regions.
Nineteen contestants from border and interior villages showcased a wide array of talents, including music, dance, art, martial arts, and cultural performances, reflecting the rich heritage, creativity, and confidence of the region’s young women.
The programme was graced by the Commander of 25 Sector Assam Rifles as Chief Guest and the Commandant of 10 Assam Rifles as Guest of Honour, along with the Hon’ble MLA of Nampong. Their presence underscored Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to youth empowerment and cultural preservation in Arunachal Pradesh.
The evening also featured performances by the Assam Rifles Jazz Band and “The Trend”, winners of the K-Pop Contest 2023, adding a modern cultural touch to the celebrations.
The ceremonial unveiling of the Miss PPIF Crown marked the event’s highlight, setting the stage for the main PPIF 2026 festivities scheduled from January 20–22. The event reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ people-centric engagement and efforts to celebrate talent, culture, and community spirit in the region.
