A 13 year-old boy was found dead by locals in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

The deceased boy has been identified as Shahid Farooq Malik.
He was a class 7th student had gone missing last week from his locality Shah Mohalla Soibugh area of Budgam.
The family members had lodged a missing report, however, on Tuesday the dead body of the body was found by the locals nearby his secluded house.
One of the family members of the victim said that Shahid bore some torture marks around his neck and it seems a ‘hanging’ case.
Meanwhile, a police official said that they have sent the body for the post mortem.
“Everything will be clear once the postmortem report arrives,” the police official said.
Meanwhile, family has demanded thorough investigation into the death of the minor boy.
