The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, under the Passport Seva Project (PSP), is conducting Mobile Passport Van Services in Kargil to provide swift and transparent passport facilities to citizens, including those in remote areas.

The camp, organised by the Regional Passport Office Srinagar, is being held from Wednesday, 24th September 2025 to Friday, 26th September 2025 at the National Informatics Centre, VC Hall, New Building near Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kargil.

Speaking about the initiative, Regional Passport Officer, Shri B.S. Rawat said that the Government of India is committed to ensuring that passport services are accessible to every citizen, regardless of their location or background. The Passport Seva Van is a step towards bridging service gaps and reaching areas that were previously underserved, he added.

Applicants from Kargil and adjoining areas are availing passport services by booking appointments through the official.

The initiative has been well received by applicants, ensuring convenient access to passport services closer to their homes. The camp will continue till 26th September 2025.
