No doubt, this way of labor division based on gender provided clarity and stability in family functioning, but this nature of roles put continued obstacles on the individual capacities to grow and contribute according to their strengths intellectual and emotional. For instance men's value is measured only for provision as a result his whole mental, emotional, physical energy is focused on providing. As society is expecting men to be hard and strong that becomes a mask under which he hides his fatigue and vulnerability, and by this real presence disappears .This in return negatively impacts man and people associated with him that systematically is visible in whole society.
Now societies have undergone a drastic shift. Like Autonomy of individuals for example, as women have entered the workforce in steadily increasing numbers, their status as the primary caretakers at home has not changed as quickly as the phenomenon called "Second Shift" . There is still work to be done on the equity in marriage. The division of unpaid labor in homes is still lagging behind.
We see in our everyday life based activities; Marriages work and prosper. A father staying up late to help a child solving difficulties in homework, a mother does multiple tasks from cooking meals to managing household chores. Both partners do adjust their schedules to support each other's ambitions. These are the practical examples of how marriage dynamics play out. However, constant lack of support can weaken the bond.
