Modi’s Vision: Vocal for Local, Nari Shakti, and Technological Growth

Come, we will buy only local products, emphasize on local products, carrying the fragrance of the sweat of our countrymen, Vocal for local should be our guiding philosophy

The moment we utter the word ‘vision’ does not mean we need to write down piles of papers to describe ourselves. It can be a single line composed of some phrases elucidating what it means by saying vision. Yes, just a line it is in which the statesman of the world’s largest democracy and 5th largest economy, India, the Bharat, describes his vision aiming to make his country prosperous, and that line is, “Come, we will buy only local products, emphasize on local products, carrying the fragrance of the sweat of our countrymen, Vocal for local should be our guiding philosophy”. Isn’t it just a few words in which Modi Ji has put his vision before his country’s people enough to understand the Mantra of prosperity? Our prosperity solely depends on understanding the philosophy of developing local products and growing our economy. If we realize it and start putting our mental and physical efforts into preparing our products and reducing our dependence on imports, we will raise our economy by leaps and bounds. The economic prosperity of a country is based on the principle that the country’s exports should be higher than the imports.

Unfortunately, our nation is still importing more than exporting. India, our country, rich in human assets and plentiful in natural wealth, is still not among the biggest exporters in the world.
Modi Ji’s simple lines explain hundreds of pages. He says, “There are no better ways to witness this nation’s beauty and people’s sentiments and no better teachers than tourism and pilgrimage”. The message in the line is so simple, but in value, it is as huge as a heap of gold. India has a vast landscape of cultures and religions. It has abundant potential in tourism and has a substantial role in the country’s economy. Modi has, in his statement, not only promoted tourism but also invited people to educate themselves about the rich diversity of the Indian cultural and religious landscape.
Modi Ji’s performance as a visionary character in nation-building is phenomenal. His Nari-Shakti mission is altogether historical. Empowering women in a true sense is empowering the nation. Modi Ji says, “In our society, women have been accorded the status of Shakti. This power of women binds the society as a whole, the family as a whole, on the axis of unity and oneness”. Someone has rightly put a woman’s character in society and humanity in words. “Women weave the fabric of the entire society into a single organic unit bursting with energy and vigour. A woman is the nucleus of her family, community, and humanity. The women of India have been revered since time immemorial, but at an elementary level, society has neither been fair nor kind to them. However, with time, we have seen a transformed consciousness and a perceptible change in the attitude of society and people. Albeit a bit slowly, the perception of women, of Nari Shakti is evolving to reflect the changing times”.
In our Indian society, we have women in every field. We have women in the Navy, we have women in the sky, we have women at the borders and even at the Siachin. Nari Shakti is a top priority now in Modi Ji’s regime. Modi Ji’s vision of Amrit Kaal envisions partnering with India’s growth story.
Thinking of progress and prosperity without technological development is ignorance in today’s era. So, Modi Ji has been emphasising tech development since the first day of his duty as Prime Minister of the country. He says, “ We have two things in abundance in today’s 21st century India. First, data, and second technology.” Both have the power to take India’s science to new heights. Five heavyweight satellites have been launched. It is indeed a towering achievement of India in space technology. Nari Shakti has been a small but strong current in Indian science and technology. It is heartening to see many opportunities being available for technical leadership and capable women who are helming important government departments on scientific research, premier academic institutions as industry leaders and sound start-ups yielding cutting-edge technologies.
To his political credit, Modi Ji introduced Yoga to the world and made the UN declare 25th June as the International Day of Yoga. It is indeed one of the biggest political achievements of Modi Ji as well as a contribution to humanity by him.
Modi Ji has been conferred various honours including the highest civilian honour of Saudi Arabia Sash of King Abdulaziz. He has also been conferred the top awards of Russia, The Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First; the Amir Amanullah Khan Award of Afghanistan; Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen of Maldives; and in 2018, Modi Ji received the Seoul Peace Prize for his contribution to peace and development.
