MP secures third position in Women's Wushu West Zone League in Meerut

According to Sarika Gupta, Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association and coach and secretary of Indian Wushu team, the Women's Wushu West Zone Regional Level League was concluded today in Meerut under the Khelo India scheme organized jointly by the Indian Wushu Association and the Sports Authority of India. Madhya Pradesh Wushu team stood third in the West Zone competition with a total of 16 medals including 7 gold, 3 silver, 06 bronze. In the closing ceremony, along with the chief guests, Mr. Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, Jitendra Bajwa, CEO Suhail Ahmed, Indian Sports Authority official Mr. Krishna Kumar were present as guests. "A total amount of 6 lakh 30 thousand was distributed to the players in the closing ceremony.
Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association and Vishwamitra Awardee Sarika Gupta said that this event of women empowerment in the name of Asmita under Khelo India was organized by dividing all the states in a total of 4 zones across the country. According to Jitendra Singh Bajwa, Secretary of Wushu Association of India, this competition was successfully organized in Meerut under the joint aegis of Sports Association of India and Wushu Association of India.
President of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association NK Tripathi said that this competition was organized to encourage sports and women players by the Honorable Prime Minister.
This competition was organized for sub junior, junior And it was organized in all the three senior categories as per the rules of the Indian Wushu Association. Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, Patron of the Indian Wushu Association, said that the best four winning participants of the competition have been selected for the National Khelo India Wushu Women League.
Along with award winning, national and international level players of Madhya Pradesh, players from various districts of Madhya Pradesh participated in this competition. Vidya Dubey was the assistant coach and Liaqat was the manager in the competition. At the end of the competition, Joint Secretary Rajneesh Saxena, Treasurer Siddharth Shrivastava, Sapna Saxena, Maya Rajak, Shailendra Sharma, Vikas Chaturvedi, etc. congratulated the players of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association for securing third place in the zone.
