Renowned Islamic scholar and National Chairman of the Ilm-o-Hunar Foundation, Hazrat Allama Mufti Manzoor Ziyaee, has garnered widespread praise for his latest publication, "Waqf Amendment Act 2025: Benefits and Drawbacks." The book, currently available in Urdu, was launched in multiple cities including Mumbai, Nashik, Malegaon, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Pune, Dehu Road, and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The book explores both the positive aspects and concerns surrounding the Waqf Amendment Act 2025, aiming to educate the Muslim community on their rights and responsibilities regarding Waqf properties. It is soon to be released in Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, and English to reach a broader audience.
Launch events were attended by scholars, social activists, political leaders, and prominent community members, who hailed the book as a much-needed initiative. Described as “an essential need of the present time,” the book was praised for its clarity, depth, and accessibility.
During his tour, Mufti Ziyaee also visited the shrines of Hazrat Syed Peer Sadiq Shah Hussaini Madni Qadri (Nashik) and Hazrat Salamaty Peer (Dehu Road), offering prayers for the welfare of the Muslim Ummah. He held meetings with top officials, including Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Jalgaon SP Dr. Maheshwar Reddy, and prominent religious and community leaders.
Addressing the media, Mufti Ziyaee said the book is the result of extensive consultations with over 20,000 people across India, aiming to represent the voice of the community. He emphasized that the misuse and embezzlement of Waqf properties must be confronted legally and constitutionally, warning those involved of consequences both in this life and the Hereafter.
He announced that 3,000 copies will be distributed free of cost, with the book also available for purchase via Amazon, Flipkart, and other online platforms.
Scholars and community leaders such as Mufti Alauddin Rizvi, Dr. Feroz Khan, and various personalities from Pune praised the book's timely relevance, urging the youth to educate themselves about their Waqf rights and actively engage in education, economic empowerment, and legal advocacy.
The publication is being hailed as a powerful tool to raise awareness and protect the collective interests of the Muslim community and other underrepresented groups.
