
Multi-faith dialogue conference
Speakers at one day conference on interfaith dialigue conference held at Hotel Shahansh ,Boulvard srinagar today underscored the urgent need to strengthen mutual trust , understanding and respect in the society .
The Interfaith conference was organised by the Islamic Relief and Resarch Trust IRRT headed by Adv.Ab Rashid Hanjura.
Among other religious leaders from Hindu , Christian , Sikh Bodh ,Muslim religions , scholars , social activists from j & k and outside state who participated in the conference included Ramanandi sadhu Sawami Raghavendra ji from Patna , Dr. Acharya Arun Prakash , .Paul Augustin christ chuch of kashmir ,Dr.Philip John christ church of kashmir , former beaurucrate & Social reformer Ajaz Ahmad Kakroo , S.Jagmohan singh , head Sikh Coordination Committee, M Y Shaheen and Former Sr. Superintendant of G M Dar from GGF .
On this occassion a pathbreaking resolution was passed unanimously which reads " This august social gathering of Multifaith believers and practitioners from different parts of india has resolved today on 22-04-2025 at srinagar that to foster mutual understanding , promote tolerance , and to build bridges among different faiths and to contribute for global peace and harmony and a network mechanism is adopted with coordinated efforts . This mission of peace and harmony shall continue Adv.Hanjura in his welcome address urged the need for promotion of positive interaction between people of different religious traditions and humanistic beliefs to achieve the mission of tolerence ,respect and harmony.
Adv.Hajura sought whole hearted cooperative of the civil society to promote understanding, respect, and acceptance between different faiths to send a strong message from kashmir to the whole world for ensuring increased tolerance and mutual harmony.
Ajaz Kakroo urged the need for developing a sound society based on the common beliefs of different religion .
He said holding interfaith dialigue conferences at regular intervals was essential to foster a deeper u Prof. Hangloo a veteran historian , who participated virtually on- line urged for
protecting values, beliefs, and practices and shun the trend to reinforce ones religious practices on other sects ( Sanatan ).
S . Jagmohan in his remarks eulogized the spirit of communal harmoney and brotherhood among kashmiris irrespective of religious affliations. He said kashmiri culrure was bieng mis interepted for political gains which need to be defeated unitedly. He stressed the ugency to strengthen the idea of " unity in diversity" which is the hallmark of our composite ethos.
Sawami Ragvindra advocated for promotion of interfaith dialogue for mutual understanding and respect between different communities .

Interfaith dialogue for fostering understanding and cooperation between different religious groups.
Speakers said that dialogue as a good tool to address various social issues, by bringing together individuals and groups with different faiths to work towards common goals. They suggested to make the interfaith dialogue a countrywide and global practice to address shared values of humanity.
Noted educationist and Member J&K Waqf Board , Gh Nabi Haleem while concluding the conference urged the need to promote harmony and tolerence by bridging the gaps in the society through inter ethenic dialogue.
