Directorate of Tourism Jammu, in collaboration with District Administration Reasi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra, is celebrating the Navratra Festival-2022 at Katra.
The main highlights of the Second day of Navratra Festival-2022 were ShobhaYatra, which was inaugurated by Babila Rakwal, Deputy Commissioner Reasi in presence of Vimal Indu, President Municipal Committee Katra, DDC member Katra, Nirmala, Sunaina Sharma Mehta, Joint Director Tourism, Jammu, Amit Bhasin, SP Katra, Angrez Singh, SDM Katra, Ambika Bali, ADT Katra etc.
The ShobhaYatra was taken out from Asia Chowk to Bus stand along with a colourful procession showcasing different cultural colors of the country and UT of J&K along with tableaux depicting local culture and devotional themes.
The Shoba yatra was witnessed by a large number of tourists and the local population. The main attraction was a laser show on the theme of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji. The dignitaries also witnessed the traditional Ram Leela followed by cultural programmes organized by Central Bureau of Communication, UT of J&K and Ladakh.
The Directorate of Tourism, Jammu also celebrated World Tourism Day and announced the winners for the event “Sabse Bada Gummakad” for best tourist destination photography at Yog Ashram Complex. The first prize was bagged by Naresh Sharma, Second prize went to Deepak Thakur and 3rd prize was clinched by Imran Choudhary.
The event followed by All India Devotional Song Competition wherein Singers enthralled the audience with their devotional songs and bhaints.
