Lekhapani , Oct 2: A formation of the Spear Corps conducted a 12-day Army Attachment Camp for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at Lekhapani in Assam, providing young participants with practical exposure to military training, discipline and leadership.
The camp was aimed at fostering confidence, teamwork, leadership qualities and a spirit of service among the cadets while giving them an insight into the functioning and ethos of the armed forces.
During the attachment, the NCC cadets participated in hands-on activities including firing drills, obstacle courses and arms familiarisation. The training provided them an opportunity to experience aspects of military life and understand the importance of discipline, physical fitness, coordination and teamwork.
The cadets also undertook motivational visits and interacted with personnel, gaining a broader understanding of the role of the armed forces and the values associated with service to the nation.
The initiative underscored the security forces’ continued efforts to engage with youth and create opportunities for their personal development. Such programmes provide young minds with practical experiences while encouraging qualities of leadership, responsibility and resilience.
The 12-day Army Attachment Camp concluded with the message that disciplined and empowered youth can play an important role in nation-building, strengthening the bond between the armed forces and the younger generation.
