It was informed that under the ongoing anti-drug campaign, District Police have registered 26 FIRs and arrested 39 individuals involved in drug peddling. Nine hotspot areas have been identified across Srinagar, where regular naka checking, patrolling, and surveillance are being carried out. The Regional Transport Office (RTO) Kashmir reported that 73 driving licences have been disqualified and 65 vehicles seized under provisions of the NDPS Act as part of anti-drug enforcement efforts. The Drug Control Department has conducted extensive inspections of pharmaceutical outlets and suspended six licences for violations. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has also carried out multiple operations, registering several cases against offenders.
