Strategically positioned at vulnerable and high-altitude stretches along the Baltal and Pahalgam routes, the specialised rescue teams remain on constant alert to respond swiftly to medical emergencies, accidents and weather-related challenges.
Equipped with specialised mountain rescue gear and trained in high-altitude disaster response, the teams assist elderly pilgrims, women, children and those facing fatigue or health-related difficulties during the arduous trek.
