NEPA trainees learn civil-security coordination

Chang Lang, Oct 7: Assam Rifles facilitated an interaction between trainee officers of the North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA) and the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, on October 7, providing the trainees with insights into civil administration and security coordination.

During the interaction, the trainee officers discussed the role of civil administration and security agencies in maintaining peace and security in the region. The engagement highlighted the importance of close coordination between various stakeholders in addressing security challenges and ensuring effective administration in remote areas.
The trainees also interacted with personnel of an Assam Rifles unit and gained first-hand insights into the operational challenges faced by security forces while operating in the region.
The interaction covered aspects of civil-military coordination, field-level challenges and the need for effective synergy among security forces and civil authorities.
The programme provided the NEPA trainees an opportunity to understand the practical dimensions of security management and the complementary roles played by the civil administration, police and other security agencies.
