8th district Shopian wushu championship 2024-25 organised by District Shopian wushu association in collaboration with J&k sports council from 06 Aug to 8 Aug 2024 at sports stadium Batpora Shopian.
In the opening ceremony of the said event Chief Guest was DSP CRPF Mr. Kuwar Singh and Guest of honor was form CRPF Mr B.L Barwa and guests Mr. Mohd Iqbal and Ab Hameed and Khelo India wushu coach Mr. Rameez Ahmad also District Secretary wushu association Shopian Mr. Shujaat Altaf Pahalwan was present.
Total participation was about 320 .Total officials present in the event were 25 .About 10- 15 different schools and clubs including Khelo India wushu center Shopian participated in this said championship. In the closing ceremony Chief guest was CO CRPF 14 BN Shopian Mr.
B.C Jha and Guest of honor were Additional CO CRPF and DSP CRPF and Guests Mr. Mohd Iqbal, Mr. Ab Hameed.
In the closing ceremony our Chief guest felicitated our medallists and our Guests.
Overall winner's of the said championship were Khelo india wushu centre Shopian, Runner up were Shah I Hamdan school Shopian and 2nd runner up were Torkawangam Sports Academy Shopian.
