The Assam Rifles organized an awareness class at Kepuizang Village in Nagaland’s Peren District to inform and encourage local youth about the upcoming Assam Rifles Sports Recruitment Rally. The initiative, part of the force's outreach to identify and nurture sporting talent in remote regions, aims to provide a dual opportunity — service in the Assam Rifles and representation in sports at various levels.

The awareness program focused on guiding aspiring sportspersons about eligibility, disciplines covered, training benefits, and long-term career prospects within the Assam Rifles. Officers emphasized that the rally would not only recruit athletes as combatants but also provide them platforms to excel in sports at state, national, and international levels.
A total of 40 villagers attended the session, showing keen interest. Several youths stepped forward to register for the rally, expressing appreciation for the Assam Rifles’ efforts in reaching out to rural and remote communities.
The event reflects Assam Rifles' continued commitment to nation-building, youth empowerment, and integration of marginalized regions into mainstream opportunities through sport and service.
