Kohima, April 11: Assam Rifles organised a motivational lecture for troops at Kohima Garrison, Nagaland, at the Motivational Hall on April 9, 2026, aimed at enhancing morale, operational readiness, and leadership inspiration among personnel.

The session was conducted by Colonel R K Sharma, KC, SC, SM (Retd), a highly decorated veteran of the Indian Army and former officer of Assam Rifles. Known for his distinguished service and frontline operational experience, he shared valuable insights drawn from his participation in major military operations including Op Vijay, Op Parakram, Op Bajrang, Op Hifazat, and Op Rakshak.
During his address, Col Sharma recounted key lessons from his operational career, emphasizing courage, discipline, and adaptability in challenging combat environments. He highlighted the importance of mental resilience, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to duty in maintaining operational effectiveness.
A battle casualty from the Kashmir Valley, Col Sharma’s life journey was presented as a powerful example of sacrifice and perseverance in service of the nation. His experiences deeply resonated with the troops, reinforcing a spirit of dedication and patriotism.
