Assam Rifles organizes medical camp in AP

Wakka, , Oct 1: The Assam Rifles recently organized a comprehensive medical camp at Wakka, Longding in Arunachal Pradesh under the theme “Swasth Nari, Sashakth Pariwar,” reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and healthcare outreach. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the local population, with a total of 1,100 patients receiving treatment—562 women, 268 men, and 270 children.

Medical services were provided jointly by doctors from the Assam Rifles and the District Hospital, ensuring quality healthcare for attendees. The camp offered health check-ups, free medicines, and on-the-spot treatment for a variety of ailments. Additionally, awareness sessions on preventive healthcare, hygiene, and wellness were conducted, emphasizing the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles.
Special attention was given to women’s and children’s health in line with the camp’s theme, ensuring that maternal and pediatric care needs were adequately addressed. The initiative reflects the trust and reliance of local communities on the Assam Rifles, not just as a security force but as a partner in social welfare.
