During the visit, students interacted with members of the local tribal community, conducted household surveys, and gathered valuable insights into the socio-economic challenges and opportunities faced by these communities. Through these interactions, students were able to observe firsthand how financial inclusion is empowering marginalized groups and contributing to the goal of an inclusive and developed India.
The students shared that this experience was deeply enriching and inspiring, allowing them to connect theoretical knowledge with practical realities. They expressed enthusiasm for such initiatives, stating that activities like these not only enhance their academic understanding but also encourage empathy, social awareness, and field-based research skills.
The Department plans to continue organizing such field-based activities in the future, aligning with the CUKashmir’s vision of promoting holistic, experiential, and socially relevant education.
