Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today visited the Banquet Hall-Conference Complex at M.A Road, Srinagar to oversee the progress of ongoing renovation works. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Superintending Engineer R&B South Tatheer Manzoor; Executive Engineer R&B, Khalid Mehmood; Tehsildar South, Sajad Rasool Shah and other senior officials and engineers accompanied the DC during the visit.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the ongoing works and reviewed the quality and pace of execution. He stressed the importance of timely completion of the project while ensuring adherence to prescribed standards and specifications.

The DC further directed the concerned officers to ensure that the upgraded Banquet Hall cum Conference Complex serves the purpose of improved utility, improved functionality, while preserving its historical and administrative significance.

Highlighting the importance of the facility, the DC stated that the Banquet Hall on M.A. Road serves as a key infrastructure for government meetings, delegation level talks, government programs and beneficiary awareness enrolment programs.
