
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Monday expressed grief over the loss of four human lives in an accident in Ramban district.
“Deeply anguished to learn about the loss of lives in a road accident in Udhampur. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief. Directed district administration to provide all possible assistance,” Sinha tweeted.
Four members of a family including a couple and their son were killed in a tragic road accident in Jammu’s Udhampur district on Monday.
A senior police official said that the deceased have been identified as Mufti Jamal Din, his wife Hajira Begum and their son Mufti Abdul Hamid, and Tadil, son of Gulzar Malik who was nephew of Mufti Hamid. All the four are residents of Sangaldan in Ramona district.
The official said that the tragedy took place when a Maruti car met with an accident in Champari area on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Monday afternoon.
