Srinagar, Aug 15: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) today celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at the DIPR Media Complex here.

The celebrations were led by Director Information, Shreya Singhal, who hoisted the National Flag.
On the occasion, the Director Information extended warm greetings to all officers and officials on the 80th Independence Day. She highlighted the significance of the day, recalling the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and the values of unity, democracy, integrity and national service that continue to guide the nation.
Joint Director Information (Hqrs), Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Deputy Director Information (PR/AV), Javid Ahmad Rather; other officers and officials of the DIPR were also present on the occasion.
