
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, District Administration Srinagar today organized training sessions for smooth conduct of survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U 2.0) at S P College to equip field staff with the necessary knowledge and skills for the survey to identify houseless families in the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Srinagar, Rifat Aftab, who is also the District Nodal Officer PMAY 2.0, presided over the Training session and provided an overview of the Survey to be conducted under the scheme. She emphasized that the scheme aims to provide all-weather pucca houses to all eligible urban households across the district with the vision of ‘Housing for All’.
She added that the primary objective of the training is to ensure the collection of accurate and verifiable data on urban households to identify eligible beneficiaries under the survey in the district.
During the session, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer (DSEO) discussed technical aspects of the PMAY 2.0 mobile application, which shall be used for surveys to capture the important aspects under the scheme.
Detailed training sessions on the use of the application were demonstrated by the master trainers, ensuring that participants understood its operations for conducting efficient and accurate field surveys.
The training session was attended by Enumerators, Supervisors, and allied staff deployed for survey and data collection in the implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 in the District.
