Srinagar, June 3: A renewed commitment to human brotherhood and communal harmony in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh was affirmed during the 36th commemoration of Imam Khomeini (R.A), held as part of an interfaith conference titled “Interfaith Dialogue: Its Role in Cultivating Peace.”

The conference was organized by the Anjuman Interfaith Dialogue Chapter, under the leadership of its founding chairman Agha Syed Hasan Al-Musawi Al-Safvi, who also presided over the event.

The gathering brought together dignitaries and thought leaders from various religions and sects, who paid tribute to the humanitarian legacy of Imam Khomeini, describing him as a philanthropist and advocate for peace, tolerance, and unity.

Speakers emphasized the need for sincere and sustained interfaith engagement to promote human values, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence, particularly in the context of Kashmir's diverse religious landscape.

They also highlighted the urgent need to resist forces that seek to divide society, pledging to work collectively toward preventing all efforts aimed at disrupting social cohesion and communal harmony.
