Concerned department officials asked to pace up linking of services & schemes on portals
Compliance report sought from all DCs, HoDs in 10 days
As the UT of Jammu & Kashmir is gradually switching to e-office and online service mechanism, Divisional Commissioner (Kashmir) Pandurang K Pole today directed all government departments to integrate online services and schemes with the Rapid Assessment System, (RAS), E-UNNAT and Single Window System portals.
In a meeting in which he was presiding, Pole asked all concerned department officials to pace up the linking of their services and schemes on the portals so that the general public and other beneficiaries get easy access to their websites at a single point and could register for schemes to avail benefits.
While highlighting the importance of online services, the Divisional Commissioner said that using the online system would save precious time while processing the office work. It also ensures transparency and accountability, and eliminates harassment.
To facilitate the public, which needs clarifications or has any query while accessing portals, or about schemes, the Divisional Commissioner told officers to provide toll free numbers and regular telephone numbers on the portals.
He said the portals shall provide website links to redirect users to the concerned departments.
To disseminate information to the public regarding schemes and services, Pole directed all departments to install permanent hoardings at the district and tehsil levels to provide concise information about the schemes, eligibility and benefits so that the maximum people are aware.
He also directed the Department of Labour to install hoardings at labour markets in Srinagar and other districts, and create common facilities like drinking water and toilets at these places.
Pole also sought a compliance report from all DCs and HoDs within ten days.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, Director Tourism, Director Health Services (Kashmir), Director (Urban Local Bodies), besides senior officers of the Education, Rural Sanitation, PDD, PHE, Youth Services & Sports, Colleges, Social Welfare, Information Departments and other departments.
