The Enforcement Wing of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today carried out a demolition drive in the area of Chandpora Harwan, Shalimar, Wangunt Teilbal, Friends Colony and Batapora.

During the drive one room in the area of Chandpora,  two second storeys at Shalimar,  one single storey in the area of Wangunt Teilbal, Gate Pillars at Friends Colony and one single storey in the area of Batapora raised illegally were demolished onspot.

 Also legal action warranted under rules was initiated against the violators. 

During the demolition drive at some places there was minor resistance from the locals of the area, but the demolition team remained on forefront and conducted the demolition in a hassle free manner. 

Meanwhile, all the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & inlake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions/ encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments.
