
According to Sarika Gupta, Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association and trainer of the Indian Wushu team, the Women's Wushu West Zone level league was concluded today under the scheme of Khelo India, organized under the joint auspices of the Indian Wushu Association and the Sports Authority of India. Madhya Pradesh Wushu team stood second in the West Zone event with a total of 9 gold, 3 silver, 10 bronze with 51 points. CEO Suhail Ahmed, Sports Authority of India official Shri Krishna Kumar were the guests along with the chief guests in the closing ceremony. A total amount of Rs 6 lakh 30 thousand was distributed to the players in the closing ceremony.

According to Jitendra Singh Bajwa, Secretary of Wushu Association of India, this competition was successfully organized in Goa under the joint auspices of Sports Association of India and Wushu Association of India.
Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association President NK Tripathi said that this competition was organized to encourage the Honorable Prime Minister's sports and women players.
This competition was organized as per the rules of Indian Wushu Association in three categories: Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior. Patron of Indian Wushu Association, Bhupendra Singh Bajwa said that the best four winning participants of the competition have been selected for the National Khelo India Wushu Women League.
Awardees of Madhya Pradesh, players of national and international level along with players from different districts of Madhya Pradesh participated in this competition. In the competition, Irrfan Khan played the role of Nitish Burman technical official while Vidya Dubey was the assistant coach and Akash was the manager. At the conclusion of the competition, joint secretary Rajneesh Saxena, treasurer Siddharth Srivastava, Sapna Saxena, Maya Rajak Shailendra Sharma, Vikas Chaturvedi etc. congratulated the players of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association for securing second position in the zone.
