
Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, today convened a review meeting regarding implementation of the Mission in J&K through virtual mode.
The meeting was attended by chief Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir, Mohammad Taj Chowdhary, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Jammu,. Vikas Sharma Superintending Engineers Hydraulic Circles Jammu, Udhampur-Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Doda/Kistwar/Ramban, Srinagar/Ganderbal, Anantnag-Kulgam, Budgam, Baramulla-Bandipora and Kupwara-Handwara, Executive Engineers of all Civil and Mechanical divisions and the officers in Mission Directorate.
The MD enquired about the status of scheme completion under the Mission. He was informed by both the Chief Engineers that out of 3200 schemes being executed under JJM, 1486 stand completed, the details of which can be accessed by the public on JJM portal. The rest of the schemes are in advanced stages of completion, they added.
The MD enjoined upon the Chief Engineers to expedite the progress on the scheme for completion within the set timelines so that the mission of providing “Har Ghar Nal Sey Jal” becomes a reality in J&K soon.
He took a detailed review of mapping of pipelines laid under PM Gati Shakti. He directed the officers to complete the targets within the set timelines and upload the scheme related information on the portal.
The MD also took a division wise review of Har Ghar Jal certification of reported villages. He directed the Executive Engineers to remove the discrepancies in schemes completed and Villages certified evident in the PowerPoint Presentation. He also directed the Superintending Engineers of respective circles to take a detailed review of their respective districts regarding Har Ghar Jal Certification.
He also discussed the expenditure reconciliation and variations in state and central share under JJM.
