
National School of Drama 'NSD' in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art Cultural and Languages and in collaboration with TIE Center Srinagar presented two entertaining and educational children's plays 'Qissa Kala Pahar Ka' and Wai Wouf at Tagore Hall, Srinagar. ' were presented which were well appreciated by the audience and in these dramas, the young children enthralled the audience with their best performances and thus the National School of Drama and Children's Sunday Club Workshop which lasted for more than 40 days on behalf of TIE Center Srinagar has ended. In this workshop children from 8 to 12 and 12 to 16 years were trained in drama. Director TIE Center Dipankar Koul inaugurated the event.I extended a warm welcome to all the guests. On this occasion Gulzar Ahmad Ganai, Coordinator of TIE Center Srinagar said that the aim of this Sunday Club is to promote theater and cultural engagement. There is an initiative to attract new generation to theater for which National School of Drama NSD and Cultural Academy have given us full support. Prof.Farooq Fayaz was the Chief Guest while Deputy Secretary of Cultural Academy Shakeel-ur- Rehman attended the closing ceremony as guest of honour. Besides the parents of the children, many well-known theater personalities including the former head of Doordarshan Shabbir Mujahid, well-known broadcaster and playwright Nisar Naseem, well-known filmmaker and theater specialist Mushtaq Ali Ahmed Khan, President of the Literary Center Kamraz Muhammad Amin Bhat, renowned singer Waheed Jeelani, playwright Ashraf Dildar, actor Hasan Javed, Showkat Magray,Gulfam Barji etc. Attending the clossing ceremony of the said event.
