
Marking the spirit of patriotism and national pride, Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Spear Corps, led the celebrations of the 79th Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremonies held at the Corps Headquarters and Army Public School (APS) Rangapahar in Nagaland.
The celebrations began with the customary hoisting of the Tricolour, paying homage to the countless sacrifices made in the service of the nation. Officers, soldiers, and their families came together to observe the day with deep reverence and unity under the theme of #SpiritofTiranga.
At APS Rangapahar, the GOC addressed the gathering of students, teachers, and support staff, urging them to be active contributors in the process of nation-building. He emphasized that education and discipline form the backbone of a strong and progressive India, and encouraged the youth to imbibe the values of integrity, hard work, and service to the nation.
