
Srinagar, Oct 20: In a tragic incident in the Manchowa area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, a stray dog attacked and killed a 70-year-old man, leaving four others injured early on Sunday.
According to officials, the attack occurred around 6 a.m. while the victims were on their way to work in their fields.
One of the injured, identified as Khazir Mohammad Magrey, 70, succumbed to his injuries, while the remaining four victims were hospitalized locally.
The local residents have called for urgent action to address the growing menace of stray dogs in the area. They urged authorities to take immediate measures, warning that without intervention, more such incidents could occur in the future.
