A youth from South Kashmir's Anantnag district sustained serious injuries after being stabbed near SP College in Srinagar today.
The incident, which occurred around 1:00 PM, has drawn attention to a possible love triangle involving the victim and the assailant.
police statement, the victim, identified as Momin Ahmad Dar, son of Riyaz Ahmad Dar, was attacked by Arslan Aijaz, the ex-boyfriend of Dar's girlfriend.
“Reports indicate that the motive for the attack was jealousy stemming from their relationship. Dar suffered stab wounds to his abdomen and head and was immediately transported to SMHS Hospital, where he is currently reported to be in stable condition,” it reads.
“The police registered a case (FIR No. 62/2024) at Kothibagh Police Station and have apprehended Aijaz, who works as a delivery boy for Swiggy. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” reads the statement.
It also reads as, the victim's girlfriend is reportedly cooperating with police, providing valuable insights into the events leading up to the stabbing. As the investigation progresses, law enforcement is focused on uncovering all details related to the case.
