A teacher is a significant asset of any nation ,who sweats and bleeds endlessly to carve the bright destiny of his nation .He erases the errors of his learners and leaves no stone unturned in raising them into refined citizens. The Nation develops and progresses where teachers land. They sow the seeds for better tomorrow and nurture the hopes of unlimited learners. That is the reason teacher is labeled as next God of his pupils. In current times the relationship of teacher and pupil is lacking that moral and cultural milieu which was prevalent in ancient times .Now education has got commercialized like any other commodity of society and the fabric of relation between teacher and pupil has got fossilized. Despite this all chaos running ,still nation builders exist which are building the nations wings to fly. One such nation builder is discussed here:-

Born in an illiterate family in a small hamlet - Watigam of district Kulgam to Habibullah Bhat and Raja Begam .Parents named their son as ,Ab Gani Bhat and admitted him in near by Govt primary school of village .Bhat Sahab , studied there upto grade 2nd only as his maternal uncle –Mohammad Sultan Mir ,a dedicated govt teacher who used to take utmost care of his nephew was transferred to Govt. Middle school Chachamulla ,so he admitted Bhat Sahab in the same institution in order to care his educational needs. Bhat Sahab, studied there upto 3rd grade only .Again his maternal uncle was transferred to Govt. Primary school Avil ,so he sought admission in the said school and studied up to 5th standard there. Thus Ab Gani Bhat received a special care under the supervision and able guidance of his maternal uncle –late Mohammad Sultan Mir .and Mir Sahab was fulfilling a great responsibility which is missing in present era. Later on , Ab Gani sought admission in Govt .High School Manzgam and passed secondary examination with flying colours in 1981.Being a diligent and passionate learner ,Ab Gani opted science subjects and sought admission in Govt Higher Secondary School Kulgam and passed 12th examination by securing grade ist .There after , he graduated in science stream from Govt. Degree College Boys Khanabal again with first division in 1986.This depicts his intelligence and hardwork. Being an avid reader and enthusiastic student ,Ab Gani cracked the prestigious entrance test of Kashmir University and sought admission in the department of chemistry for Msc program in1987.By toiling hard Ab Gani managed to complete his Pg Chemistry in 1990 ,when valley was engulfed with insurgency. And in1991 Ab Gani was selected as teacher and posted in Govt Boys Higher secondary School Kulgam. Ab Gani worked with full dedication and served as teacher for 26 months only ,as he got promoted as Lecturer Chemistry in Higher Education and is continuously discharging services now as Principal .
Ab Gani and his family resonated in happiness as well as the whole village for his outstanding success. Besides that being in career ,he also completed his Bed degree in distance mode through IGNOU. He is the man of principles ‘and epitome of simplicity, honesty and integrity. Under his able school administration and pedagogical skills Govt, Higher Secondary D H Pora got elevated as Model Higher Secondary though being in deplorable conditions prior to his joining. The name and fame of the institution is nowadays talk of the town. He has also served as a brilliant academician in Kargil at HSS Turtuk NOBRA .In J and K ,Ab Gani has taught in different reputed Higher Secondary schools and has illuminated manifold learners far and wide.
District Administration appreciated his academic excellence several occasions on 5th September on the eve of teachers Day by conferring “Best Teacher Award”. More over Sub Divisional Administration D H Pora felicitates Ab Gani Bhat as best principal on Republic Days showcasing his hard work and extraordinary efforts in developing education scenario in the rural area. Taking into the account of his expertise in school administration , leadership skills ,pedagogical innovations, work culture and sincerity in the development of educational sector of the district , has been elevated as Deputy Chief Education Officer of the District Kulgam. Ab Gani Bhat is also holding the charge of DDO of D H Pora Zone . This is evident that district shall progress in general and zone DH Pora in particular under his immeasurable experience and meticulous work culture .I have been his student during higher secondary classes where he left no stone unturned in teaching us round the year within the limited infrastructure. I have also worked with Bhat Sahab, during free winter schooling commonly called as SUPER50. I wish him a great success ahead.
