To combat illegal mining activities, a late-night raid was executed in the Birpur area by a joint task force consisting of the Geology and Mining department, led by DMO Samba, M. Sayeed and the Samba Police, under the leadership of SDPO Bari Brahamana, Rahul Nagar KPS, along with SHO Insp Sumit.
During the operation, two dumpers involved in illegal mining activities were swiftly apprehended and subsequently impounded within the premises of the Bari Brahamana Police Station.
The mobilization of the teams was highly efficient, resulting in the apprehension of the violators involved in this unlawful activity. Preliminary investigations have revealed that these local offenders were illicitly supplying materials to a highway company, compounding the severity of the violations.
The extent of damage caused by these unlawful mining operations will be thoroughly assessed, and stringent penalties will be imposed on the culprits responsible for this blatant disregard of mining regulations.
