
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has directed all government and private schools across the Valley not to conduct any internal or term examinations from June 23 to June 27 due to Muharram observances.
The order aims to avoid inconvenience to students amid traffic restrictions and large religious gatherings during the period.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo said the decision was taken following public representations and a request from MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq.
She added that schools must strictly comply with the directive, warning that any violation would invite disciplinary action.
