Shah Talha of Regional Coaching Centre (Judo) J&K sports council got a bronze medal in the North zone women's league at Shimla in the junior category.
After the bronze medal in junior she decided to play in the senior category where she lost the quarter final and managed the bronze medal in the senior category also. Shah Talha is a trainee of senior coach Shafkat Shafi of Sports council who has produced many medalists in junior Nationals ,senior nationals, Khelo India youth games and Khelo India University games, even in the commonwealth judo championship.
Shah Talha is now selected for the All India women's Judo league to be held in the month of November 2024. It is also worth mentioning here that Two players of Mr. Rahil Judo coach (also one of the trainees of Shafkat Shafi) Aishia Hassan and Anjum Akhtar of Distt Ganderbal got two Gold medals in Sub junior age categories in the same league.
