
Jammu, Mar 23: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Northern Army Commander, visited Kishtwar district to commend troops for their professionalism and operational excellence, urging them to maintain momentum for lasting peace and stability.
The visit follows a year-long Army operation in high-altitude terrain that dealt a major blow to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), eliminating seven terrorists, including most-wanted commander Saifullah on February 22.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma reviewed operational preparedness, security arrangements, and held detailed discussions with commanders and troops. The Northern Command highlighted that he appreciated their “resolute conduct in challenging terrain and inclement weather” and emphasized continued coordination with other security agencies.
