As a mark of solidarity with veterans, Lt Gen Sharma, along with the White Knight Corps GOC and senior Army officers, rode alongside the bikers from Udhampur to Nagrota, completing the first leg of the rally.
Spanning nearly 740 kilometres, the Dhruva Motorcycle Rally is a dedicated outreach initiative aimed at celebrating the unmatched contributions and sacrifices of India’s soldiers, while strengthening the Army’s engagement with veterans and local communities. The rally will pass through the picturesque Pir Panjal region in the White Knight Corps zone before culminating at a mega ex-servicemen’s rally in Rajouri on January 13.
During its journey, the rally will conduct wreath-laying ceremonies at various war memorials. It is also accompanied by ‘Aarogya Rakshak’ medical teams, which will set up medical outreach camps to provide health screening, preventive care and essential medicines to ex-servicemen. Blood pressure monitoring machines will be distributed to senior veterans, underscoring the Army’s continued focus on their healthcare
