Northern Command, Airtel Foundation boost AGSs

Udhampur, July 15: In a significant step towards strengthening educational infrastructure and promoting digital transformation in remote and border areas, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, along with Ms. Nuriya Ansari, Chief Executive Officer, Bharti Airtel Foundation, jointly launched the revamped websites of 43 Army Goodwill Schools.

On the occasion, Northern Command and the Bharti Airtel Foundation also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Army Goodwill Schools through comprehensive teacher training programmes and the integration of modern technology into the teaching-learning process.
The initiative reflects Northern Command's unwavering commitment to improving access to quality education for the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The partnership with the Bharti Airtel Foundation is expected to strengthen the academic ecosystem by equipping educators with advanced teaching methodologies and leveraging technology to enhance learning outcomes.
The collaboration also highlights the strong synergy between the Indian Army and the corporate sector in advancing educational excellence. By bringing world-class educational resources and digital facilities to students in remote and border regions, the initiative seeks to create greater opportunities for academic growth and holistic development.
The launch marks another milestone in the continued efforts of the Indian Army and its partners to empower young minds through quality education and digital innovation, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
