After the Pahalgam terror attack, a one-day special session of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly would be held in Jammu on Monday.
The session will begin at 10:30 am.
Sources said the Legislative Assembly is likely to adopt a resolution in the House condemning the April 22 terror attack.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will also reply in the House on the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam in which a local man was among the 26 people killed, while several others were injured.
Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on April 24 summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to convene its session in accordance with Section 18 (1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.
“I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, do hereby summon the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet at Jammu on Monday, the April 28, 2025 at 10.30 A.M,” said the Summon.
The LG summoned the one-day session of the Assembly after the cabinet advised to summon the Assembly to discuss the terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 persons were killed.
The nearly month-long Assembly session earlier adjourned sine die on April 9.
