Aizawl, Feb 28 : Mizoram University has launched the Aizawl–Lunglei phase of Operation Sadbhavana 2025–26, part of its broader initiative, “The Eastern Edge Expedition”, aimed at fostering leadership, resilience, and national integration among students.

The expedition, flagged off on February 26, 2026, will traverse Mizoram’s challenging terrain, covering remote and hilly regions to engage students in community service, cultural exchange, and team-building activities. Designed to promote physical endurance, strategic thinking, and a sense of national unity, the initiative encourages participants to explore local traditions while developing leadership skills.
Speaking at the launch, university officials emphasized that Operation Sadbhavana combines adventure with social responsibility. Participants will interact with rural communities, contribute to local development projects, and document their journey to inspire others to embrace resilience and teamwork.
This year’s expedition also focuses on environmental awareness and sustainability, with activities including waste management drives, tree plantation, and awareness campaigns in the villages along the route. Organizers said the program not only strengthens the spirit of camaraderie among students but also deepens their understanding of Mizoram’s cultural and ecological diversity.
