Under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army continues to foster unity and national pride through its National Integration Tours (NIT), aimed at connecting youth from remote and sensitive regions to the cultural and democratic heart of India.
In September 2025, students from Tinsukia, Assam embarked on an enriching journey across New Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmednagar from 10–19 September. The tour offered them a first-hand experience of India’s rich historical legacy and democratic institutions. Highlights included interactions with the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and visits to iconic landmarks such as the Red Fort, India Gate, and the National War Memorial.
Simultaneously, another NIT was flagged off from Pallel Garrison, comprising 26 civil society representatives and 5 officials from Tengnoupal district, Manipur. The delegation traveled through Shillong, Kolkata, and Delhi, participating in high-level engagements with the Governor of Meghalaya, the Director General of Assam Rifles, and once again, the President of India. The itinerary also included cultural experiences such as the River Heritage Cruise, visits to the Victoria Memorial, Shaheed Minar, and explorations of Delhi’s vibrant streets of Chandni Chowk.
These tours are more than just sightseeing—they are windows to identity, history, and unity. They aim to inspire participants to embrace national integration and become ambassadors of peace and progress in their communities.
Operation Sadbhavana, true to its name, continues to build goodwill, trust, and shared national consciousness—one journey at a time.
