Srinagar, Sep 17: The District Srinagar Sqay Association successfully concluded 27th District Srinagar Sqay Championship today on 17th September 2026 with enthusiastic participation of more than 200 players from various educational institutions across the district.

The championship witnessed an impressive display of talent, discipline, sportsmanship and competitive spirit among the young Sqay athletes. The event provided a valuable platform for budding players to showcase their skills and further strengthen the sporting culture among the youth of Srinagar.
Dr. Firdous Baba, Chief, Kashmir Sewa Sangh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Firdous Baba appreciated the efforts of the organisers, coaches, teachers and participating players. He delivered an inspiring speech, particularly emphasising the importance of development, education, sports and constructive opportunities for the younger generation. He stressed that such sporting platforms play an important role in the overall development and empowerment of youth.
After a competitive championship, the following institutions secured the top positions:

🥇1st Place – Green Valley Educational Institute.
🥈 2nd Place – Muslim Public School
🥉 3rd Place – Al Huda Islamia Public School

The organisers congratulated all the winning institutions, players, coaches and supporting staff for their dedication and hard work. Appreciation was also extended to all participating schools and parents for encouraging young athletes to take part in sports.
